Opening in July of 2019, Comery Block has added a tasty Tennessee twist to Calgary’s food scene. All of their meat is smoked in-house for a minimum of ten hours, using hickory wood. This style of wood imparts a smoky taste and is unique to a Tennessee style.
On our visit, we decided to choose two classic menu items: the brisket and the mac & cheese. A pound of brisket was more than enough to feed two hungry people and it was absolutely perfect. It was so tender you could cut it with a fork, was moist, and of course tasted delicious. This is a must try item for any visitor. The mac & cheese did not disappoint either. The serving was large, the sauce creamy, and overall a decadent choice for a side.
