Exploring the Beauty of YYC and Beyond

I love baking! It’s something that I find soothing, relaxing, and just plain enjoyable. Although I don’t nearly get to bake as often as I’d like to, I really appreciate quality baked-goods. When it comes to cookies, I love your typical chocolate chip, peanut butter, and shortbread, but I am a true sucker for a good oatmeal raisin cookie. There’s something special about the gooey softness, and the gentle spices contained in these cookies. I’ve been on the hunt for a good store-made cookie that taste homemade, and it’s a lot more challenging than one would assume. But, I think I’ve found it!

Bridgeland Market is a small, local, neighbourhood grocery store located at the intersection of 1 Avenue and 10 Street NE. They stock a diverse selection of products, ranging from vegetables, meats, cheese, and perishable items. They also have homemade, take out meals, desserts, and baked goods. I’ve tasted a lot of their decadent cheeses and tasty meals, but I’d have to say baking is where they truly excel! They sell an oatmeal cranberry walnut cookie that will change your life! Twisting the tradition oatmeal raisin cookie, it still has the same texture and flavours, yet instead has a unique added taste with cranberries and walnuts. They are packaged together in a group of three, very large sizes, and sold for a mere $4.99. This is a cookie that you must try!
