Being as I am a cocktail aficionado, it might come as a surprise to you that I finally got to experience Shelter. This hidden cocktail bar is everything that you could possibly want from one. It’s cozy, trendy, has fab decor, great service, and of course, superb drinks!
We stopped by on Saturday night and it was quite busy, but we were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. Looking at their extensive cocktail menu, we ended up ordering a classic whiskey sour and Manhattan. It was both fascinating and entertaining to watch the bar tender make drink after drink. It was clear she knew her stuff. She offered suggestions for us to try next, asked us what we liked, and then we left it up to her to make us a drink. They were all delicious!
There truly is an art to making a good cocktail, and I was thoroughly impressed with Shelter. It was a great experience and one everyone should have!
