Sidewalk Citizen recently opened their downtown restaurant on 13 Avenue SW. We stopped by recently for breakfast and were so impressed by the gorgeous interior and the unique menu.
One dish that I would like to particularly highlight was the fish plate. Perhaps not considered your “typical” breakfast here, this dish was delicious in many ways. It consisted of their house smoked and cured trout, a soft boiled egg, trout eggs, whipped labneh (basically a yogurt cheese), marinated olives, radishes, and cucumber, all alongside their impeccable sourdough bread. It was very Mediterranean style and reminded me of exactly that.
This dish may not be for everyone, but it definitely is one many will love!
