Exploring the Beauty of YYC and Beyond

Quintessential Portland is what you’ll find at Juniors Cafe. This adorable breakfast spot is claimed to be Portland’s best kept secret for their original food and friendly service.

It’s definitely one of the cutest breakfast places I’ve visited, and after perusing the menu we took some recommendations for what to order. Daniel ordered the cracked omelette which was served open-faced with brie and caramelized honey. It was absolutely delicious! I went for the Texan scramble. It had scrambled eggs mixed with chorizo, corn, onions, chilies, and cheese, topped with a chipotle sour cream and salsa. The cheesy goodness and smokey flavouring made this a dish that I would order again and again. Both dishes were served with their smash browns and two pieces of toast. We both opted for sour dough, and it did not disappoint. Their jam was also top notch.

One thing I particularly loved about Juniors was the simplicity of their dishes. They took everyday ingredients and turned them into something out of the ordinary.
