Spending our weekend at the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, we tried out Blacktail Bar, which is located right in the lobby when you enter the main lodge. They offer a great selection of handcrafted cocktails, as well as hearty dishes to share or for the individual.
Sitting at the bar, in amazingly comfy stools, we ordered a cocktail each. They were delicious, spirit forward, and unique, concept-wise. For our meal, we each opted for a sandwich. The steak on the sirloin steak sandwich was perfectly cook and full of flavour. The bison burger was served on a brioche bun, and had a delicious blueberry barbeque sauce, brie cheese, and pickled onions.
If you’re in the lodge, this place is a must visit!
